The Web Installer is the easiest way to install Nextcloud on a web space. It checks the dependencies, downloads Nextcloud from the official server, unpacks it with the right permissions and the right user account. Finally, you will be redirected to the Nextcloud installer.

  1. Right-click here and save the file to your computer
  2. Upload setup-nextcloud.php to your web space
  3. Point your web browser to …/setup-nextcloud.php on your webspace
  4. Follow the instructions and configure Nextcloud
  5. Login to your newly created Nextcloud instance!

Note that the installer uses the same Nextcloud version as available for the built in updater in Nextcloud. After a major release it can take up to a month before it becomes available through the web installer and the updater. This is done to spread the deployment of new major releases out over time.

Es gibt einige Warnungen bei Deiner Systemkonfiguration.

 * Die PHP-Speichergrenze liegt unterhalb des empfohlenen Wertes von 512MB.

 * Der HTTP-Header “Strict-Transport-Security” ist nicht auf mindestens

   15552000 Sekunden eingestellt. Für mehr Sicherheit wird das

 * Es wurde kein PHP-Memory-Cache konfiguriert. Zur Erhöhung der

   Leistungsfähigkeit kann ein Memory-Cache konfiguriert werden.

Memory Limit setzten auf 512MB:

Falls Sie in unseren Pro-Paketen PHP-FPM nutzen, können keine php.ini-Dateien, sondern ausschließlich .user.ini-Dateien benutzt werden. Zusätzliche Zend-Module wie ionCube oder Zend Guard können nicht per .user.ini-Datei aktiviert werden, falls Sie diese benötigen, wenden Sie sich bitte an unsere Kundenbetreuung.

Beachten Sie auch, dass .user.ini-Dateien von PHP-FPM nur etwa alle 5 Minuten neu geladen werden, Konfigurationsänderungen wirken sich daher nicht sofort aus.

UPGRADE Version 19 to 20

I’m running a Nextcloud 19.0.4 installation on Ubuntu 18.04 with Aparch2. Can someone tell me why I don’t see an update to version 20 on the overview page? Is it only available for Enterprise version?

This is because the upgrade is distributed in waves to all installations. If you want to force upgrading your installation switch the installation channel temporarily to “Beta” and let it search for updates. After installing version 20 don’t forget to switch back the channel to “Stable”.
